Mark Knopfler 'An Evening With Mark Knopfler'

Na 40 jaar muziek maken lukt het hem nog steeds om met nieuwe dingen te komen en dichtbij zijn originele sounds te blijven. Knopfler werd door Rolling Stone Magazine al genoemd in de lijst van beste gitaristen aller tijden. Zijn fingerpickingspel doet je denken aan dat van J.J. Cale en hij brengt dit samen met prachtige, zweverige sounds.

Mark Knopfler over deze tour: ‘My songs are made to be performed live. I love the whole process of writing them alone and then recording them with the band, but ultimately the best part is playing them to an audience live. I enjoy the whole circus, travelling from town to town and interacting with this group of players is a total pleasure. I’m really looking forward to it.’
